Incorporated in 1948, Wheatland Electric Cooperative Inc. was established as a distribution and power cooperative. It is one of the leading distributors of power and electricity in the state of Kansas. The cooperative operates with four separate divisions: electric west, electric east, water and broadband services. Serving more than 55,000 customers, it offers a wide range of products and services to its clients. The cooperative also offers options, such as energy efficiency programs, energy audit, wildlife protection program and energy resources.
